Letter, 1839 Mar. 21, [Georgetown County, S.C.] to Elizabeth Izard Fisher, Charleston, S.C.

Letter from Jane L. Pringle written from her plantation, White House, located on the Pee Dee River [near Waverly Mills, S.C.], congratulating Fisher on her recent marriage to T. Francis Fisher, acknowledging receipt of Fisher's letter and a piece of cake, "written and sliced evidence of your change of name." Commenting on Fisher's future living arrangements, Pringle notes, "there are few this side [of] the Potomac so intimate with the particular circle where in your pleasant lot will be cast in Philadelphia," and hoping to honor Fisher's invitation to visit, either at Middleton Place or elsewhere.
